The Springfield Armory XDM (X-Treme Duty, the M is for the match grade barrel and match grade trigger) are a series of semi-automatic pistols that are polymer-framed and striker-fired.
Sports a full metal slide with laser engravings, which are fully licensed by Springfield Armory.
The pistol features all the corresponding markings as the real gun and functions much the same.
The pistol is a standard striker fire style gas blowback pistol and takes regular green gas.
The XDM has two safety mechanisms. The first is the secondary trigger within the primary, much like Glock's design. The trigger cannot be pulled unless both are fully depressed. The second safety feature is the grip safety which doesn't allow the pistol to be fired unless it is gripped correctly in the hand. Both safety features must be activated simultaneously for the pistol to shoot.
Full metal magazine holds 17 rounds and is complete with a great silver finish.
Adjustable hop-up is accessed by removing the barrel from the lower frame.
There is also a box safety on the underside of the lower frame behind the rail, this will lock the trigger and prevent the gun from firing.
As an added features of this particular pistol, included are two additional back straps to give your hand a better fit and its magazine can be shard with the smaller Compact version of the XDM (Do note that XDM Compact magazines CANNOT be shared with this full sized version).
